World Traveler: Starting our goodbyes

T5B: 1) We got to have dinner with Mina. 2) She gave us a beautiful gift! 3) I found someone to pay my city tax (thank you Ann!). 4) I DO have to pay city tax, but it's less than $1200. 5) We got a lot of errands done today. :)

basal temp: 36.41 (then I packed my thermometer away)

Morning:
- we got up
- started packing almost right away
- I showered around 1030 since..
- Tom stopped by at 1100 to pick up my printer and my bed, he also took the lamp on the way out
- Jerod kindly packed all our souvenirs (into one bag)
- Yasue informed me she almost finished translating my talk :D

Notes: I'm SOOO glad we have most of the place packed up - it took my stress level WAY down. And it turns out I have enough room in my suitcases! YAY! (Just a little more to pack tomorrow and we're done!)

Afternoon:
- we went to the grocery store to throw out our bottles and plastic trash
- went to the office for an appointment, Ann said she would pay my city tax (I provided the money)
- we stopped by Ishiwarizakura on the way home
- went to the dentist
- got my mouthguard (custom fit!)

Notes: At first I couldn't get ahold of Ann so Saori asked Sato-san if he would do it. He said yes so I filled out the paperwork and took out a small senbei and said it was for him. Then Ann got back to me and said she would do it, so I said the senbei was for Ann. Saori laughed at me and said, "Sato doesn't get the cracker anymore?" I replied, "The senbei goes with the money. Whoever pays the tax for me gets it. Besides! I brought you guys ice cream! He can have that!" (And I did. It was funny though and I didn't mean it that way. Oops. LOL) -- Also while we were at the grocery store, I saw my friends Miyoko and Miho. We are trying to plan a dinner with them for Friday evening.

Evening:
- I went to buy more contacts - they would only let me buy one of each :c (REALLY frustrating that I wasn't able to stock up on contacts while I have insurance - my eye exam is good through September - so I asked them to give my prescription (hoping it would be honored in the US) but no go there either - AARRRGGHHHH!!)
- went to Daiso to meet Jerod and get some other stuff there
- went to dinner with Mina (Indian food at Nirvana)
- she gave us some amazing gifts!
- came home played some games, will probably watch some anime

Notes: Today was really good - a long day, but we got a ton done! Oh, also I learned that Morioka snow is really fun. In whatever way you ride your bike, the snow blows into your eyes. Seriously. Also, ow. XOXO, A

blast from the past: Last night Jerod was singing a song I didn't know. All I heard him say was "attack" (and I was doing something on my phone). I joined in with "BEGERK!" Jerod busted up laughing. I surprised him. Also the song is about a shark attack so the chicken noise also spiced it up. :D
