Morning:
- got up early and showered
- woke up Jerod and he got ready and we went to the bus stop
- I forgot the present, Jerod ran back and got it before the bus arrived (what a champ!)
- found Saz in Asakusa (ok, she found us)
- we walked around and looked at shops
- we got fortunes (poor Saz got a "small fortune," I got a "regular fortune" and Jerod's was the best you can get!)
- grabbed a bit of an early lunch (Korean food - YUMMY!)
Notes: I found the thing for which I was looking but can't say as it is a small gift for my family and I don't want them to know a week ahead of time what I got!
Afternoon:
- we went back out and looked at the shops again then headed to Kappabashi
- we found a temple on the way and visited it
- we wandered around a bit and FINALLY found Kappabashi
- I got a fake food! (for which Kappabashi is known)
- we walked to the station and caught a train to Ueno then Tokyo station
- we stopped at cake shop for a small birthday celebration for Saz
- we wandered around the shops at Tokyo station
Notes: There was some crazy stuff there! There was also stuff I wanted but it was too expensive (not cool enough for me to justify spending that much). Still, I got a small souvenir. :)
Evening:
- we wandered some more
- we couldn't find a rest area so we went outside and sat on rocks surrounding a tree for about an hour to rest our feet (it was chilly out or we might have stayed longer!)
- went and got Thai for dinner (Jerod REALLY disliked his food)
- decided our feet had had it and headed back
Notes: We had a ton of fun with Saz. We told stories and joked around all day. It was really fun to explore with her! (She flies out to England tomorrow - have a nice flight Saz!!) XOXO, A
