Strange Day

T5B: 1) The elders helped me with my bike. 2) I got to hang out with them (the elders) for a bit while they worked and it was nice to be able to chat with other LDS people in English. 3) Seiko-shimai gave me chocolate and said she has some heat patches to give me for the winter. 4) I got to do French translation today. 5) I got a blessing in French today!

basal temp: 36.16

Morning:
- didn't sleep enough, lots of strange dreams
- got ready for church in a fog
- had a hard time getting to church (no fuel from being ill)
- Seiko shimai told me I'm getting so thin
- Seiko-s gave me chocolate (must be related to the previous point, LOL)
- church was good
- bore my testimony
- my oneechan translated for me in RS
- I translated a little bit for Sister Mataoa

Notes: Our relief society group was kinda nuts. I translated for Sister Mataoa (she's Tahitian and doesn't speak hardly any English), then I would say the English and Yasue would translate for Muraki-shimai. It was really fun! Oh -- and a funny moment in Sacrament meeting: during the Sacrament, the sisters' stomachs growled REALLY loudly.

Afternoon:
- met with the branch president, I'm getting a calling!
- got to skype my mom (and Nadia and Papa for a bit)
- asked the elders to put some air in my bike tires
- the elders ended up doing a LOT more
- I rode home

Notes: The elders changed my brake pads, tightened my brakes, oiled my chain, oiled my brakes, and then I am in dire need of new pedals (I REALLY wanted to get pictures but my phone had died. :C). So this was all at the elders' apartment (out in the parking lot). I had so much fun chatting with them. Since they decided it wasn't safe for me to go with crappy pedals, they sent me home on Elder Norawong's bike and said they would bring my bike tomorrow and swap back. I'm SO grateful to them! Two funny stories about that block of time: Before we left the church, they were asking me some questions about my bike. I hadn't yet changed into my pants so from the door I said, "Hold on, I gotta put on my pants!" LOL We all had a laugh about how THAT sounded. Then as I was about to leave their place, they commented on my pants. (I have jeans now thanks to my mom and the McDonald girls, but with my recent tummy and uterus troubles they hurt to wear so I was wearing my Black Ops pajama pants.) They said they were NOT biking pants. I responded, "That's because they're men's pajama pants! See, they even have a fly!" At this point, I pulled the pants up (away from my body) and opened the fly. It was in that moment that my common sense returned, "Did you just FLASH the elders!?" They were all like, "AAAAGH!" And I hurriedly apologized and told them I hadn't thought it through and didn't do it on purpose. DOH! AAAAHHHH.

Evening:
- had some dinner
- watched an episode of Gintama
- got an urgent email from work (pprwk I sent but they lost/didn't get)
- feeling gross and completely exhausted -- having a stressful and bad evening :c

Enjoy Conference! I'm jealous of you all! Love you! XOXO, A

So I may or may not have had a lot of fun last night right before I got into bed (hence the mouthguard)

This face is dedicated to Josh - in fact, this is me parodying HIM

This is the candy that Seiko-s gave me. I though tit was very sweet of her - it had me singing Bonnie Raitt as "Have a heart" is printed on the chocolate. :)
