T5B: 1) I got to message Jerod. 2) I got my errands done. 3) Mine and Jerod's prayers were answered! 4) Today is over. 5) I got salami at the grocery store.
basal temp: 36.41
Morning:
- really awful sleep again :/
- got ready for school, went to school
1st - prep
2nd - prep (made a worksheet)
3rd - taught a class, some students made me cry :/ (2.5)
4th - prep (working on a different worksheet), corrected wksts
Notes: Maybe the classes are talking to each other. There is a typhoon working its way through Japan right now (we're supposed to get our brunt of it tomorrow), hence the sweltering (high humidity). Well, I dressed for heat today AND I know for a fact that I didn't smell. Well several boys in that class held their noses every time I would get close. Since I know I didn't smell (and you better believe I double and triple checked), I want to know what the frak is going on! It's so cruel. I guess I have a secret insecurity that I smell bad. After that class I went into the teacher's locker room and cried. I messaged my mom and Jerod. (Didn't hear back from my mom and heard back from Jerod later on.) Just what exactly is the point!? :< It made me super self conscious and discouraged for the rest of the day.
Afternoon:
- ate lunch
5th - taught (2.4), it went REALLY well (mmm)
6th - taught (1.4) it also went well (but I was SUPER paranoid that I smelled)
7th - made another worksheet
- discovered my bus card was missing, HUGE PANIC
- bus driver turns out to be a great guy and mine and Jerod's prayers are answered
Notes: A girl from 2.4 told the JTE (Kanamori-s) that she REALLY enjoyed the lesson. YAY! -- So my bus card. It had some money left on it and I'm hoping it's at the school. :c I put it in my bag this morning after I used it to get to school and on the bus I went through my bag some ... 15 times and couldn't find it. I kept praying and praying. I told Jerod how it was lost, he told me, "I'll pray for you." :D Such a great idea, and unprompted by me! In any case, I had budgeted to buy a bus card, but the only other times I've bought bus cards on the bus, you have to have exact change. I need to go grocery shopping today too so I needed the other $50 of my $100 to buy food. I put in my translator (pre my stop) that I couldn't find my card and the 10000 yen bill ($100) was the only bill I had (true). At first he said no change, but then when I showed him my translator he said, "Chotto matte ne" and checked to see if the other money he had received would cover change. It did exactly and he VERY KINDLY made change for me. I wanted to cry in relief. It was, SERIOUSLY, a HUGE blessing for me. I was having such a bad day and it really helped that the bus driver went out of his way to help me. I think I love him. ;)
Evening:
- messaged Jerod some more
- went grocery shopping
- made my lunches for the week
- did dishes
- did a little bit of reading, now writing
- anxious to get ready for bed (played the magnet desk game, NOT fun)
- in a TON of pain tonight :/ SOOO ready for the dysmenorrhea to be gone! (Everyday minus August 21 since July 28th - OOOOWWWWWW)
Notes: I bought two unexpected things at the grocery store (the salami, and a little chocolate Danish sweet bread) and had enough money with some change left over. This was the first time I had ridden my bike since the elders fixed it up. Before I would have to mash on my brakes... ya I almost flew over my handlebars!! LOL The brakes work! :D -- On Sunday when I rode Elder Hakaraia's bike, the first time I applied the brakes I flew forward off the seat too. Good brakes, who knew!? Anyway, love to you all! XOXO, A
I did answer you, just via email. It was too long to text. I hope that my suggestions help. If it doesn't get better, ask the teacher how to handle it. I am quite surprised that the supposedly respectful Japanese would be so ridiculous. Hmmm. I guess they want an ugly reputation like some Americans have. At any rate, be a duck and flick away (if that helps). Remember that we all love you.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my best. It's all this feeling awful -- I'm still in pain. :/ And not sleeping well doesn't help. Love you!
