Water fun

Another fun fact I forgot to mention! I quintupled old views with 85% of the posts! Thanks to you readers. :D It's endlessly fascinating and flattering to me. Thank you for reading. :)

Insect count: a flying bug of some sort

T5B: 1) My class was very kind and clapped for me. :) 2) I had a BLAST watching them play thimbleful. 3) The class I was worried about went fairly well. 4) The elders came over and shared a message with me. 5) I got to talk to Limor for a little bit today.

basal temp: 36.22 (is this normal? I was looking on the interwebz but I don't understand everything I read plus there's always that disclaimer: "Usually it's like THIS, but not always!" Sheesh.)

Last night was a LOOOOONG night. Very frustrating. I was at that "so exhausted I can't even sleep" point. Awful stuff. I was awake most of the night trying to not get TOO worked up about it. It started raining REALLY hard and the wind was blowing fiercely. Just letting you know. I was awake for it. Sheesh. I finally fell asleep and when my alarm went off I wanted to cry. SO TIRED. It is what is, and I got up and got ready. I was almost late for the bus though. I was TRYING to move quickly but I was so exhausted. I made the bus though, and the ride to school was fine - a little trippy though as I was so tired it all felt surreal. I bought a bus card on the bus (I'll use the card as my receipt for work). When I got to school, I had a prep period before I taught so I thought I should play the magnet game! Worst game ever!

Soon it came time for me to teach. I was worried about how this class would go for a couple reasons, but it was fine. The students were champs and soon it was over. Then it was on to teach my third graders with the class that has those two boys interested in ASL (3.2). It was really fun. Luckily I got to play mostly games with them (to review for the test). We started out with thimbleful and I totally sabotaged one of those two boys. LOL I overheard D saying the same color each time (and he's first in the row) so when S came up, I gave him that color. He smirked and knew what I was doing, lol - sure enough, D: "Huwaito (white)!" SPLASH! AHAHAHAHA! I had SO much fun watching them have fun. They were really energetic. So great.

After that I had a prep period then lunch. The magnet game was so much fun this morning (yes that's sarcasm you're reading), I decided to play it again. I was going to eat lunch earlier (as M-W we eat at 1230 then on Th/F lunch is at 1250) but I was just spacing out big time. So I was startled out of nothingland by the bell. I got up and got my lunch. Then as I was eating lunch, I threw some of it back up. Yay! Sheesh. What a day! After lunch I had another prep period. I seriously have no idea what I did. I'm so tired, lol. I didn't sleep. That's all I know.

Then came 6th period (3.4). We again played thimbleful - this class was as into it as 2.6 was. They were yelling and egging each other on - and my FAVORITE moment of the day: H, the boy who raised his eyebrows when I asked him what Harriet was doing after she was married, lol, had said the right color. He tried to escape but the other boys called him back. He was prancing around like a boxer and psyching himself up for it. T was holding the little cap of water up near H's face. So H closes his eyes and steels himself... nothing. He opens his eyes and starts yelling at T. So T says he's going to do it. H scrunches up his face and steels himself again. This time when he opened his eyes and mouth to complain again, SPLOOSH! Probably my most entertaining class moment ever. SO great! LOL After that class was over, I told them it was my last day teaching them - only my Japanese wasn't perfect so I made it sound like I was done at the school. Toki-s (who was filling in for Oikawa-s) told them I was just moving to another grade. They all looked sad and clapped really long and loud for me. I REALLY appreciated that. Made me feel all glowy inside. :)

I then went back and helped with cleaning time. This time I did the trashes for the whole teacher's room solo - except for two teachers at opposite sides of the room who helped with their rows' trashes. It's rough work alone! Then I helped finish up cleaning time. Sato-s, the fukukoucho-s, told me that Oikawa-s will be in the hospital until October. :c However I did get good news - Hashimoto-s doesn't have to enter the hospital after all. :D! Prayers of the righteous! Thank you for your prayers! :) Then I, luckily, didn't play the magnet game, but for an hour I just killed time at my desk. I was too tired to think of new productive things I could do and with no lesson plans on my plate, I just spaced again. Oh! I found out that I DO get to go home earlier like the other teachers next week. YATTA! :D I also have this next Wednesday off since I went to school last Saturday. Then I have the following Monday off (16th) - it's a holiday (Parent's Day :D). Then I have the Monday following that one off as well (23rd) - there's a ward activity that day and we're making tacos!!! I'm SO excited for that! :D!!!

Then it came time to get home and suddenly I was getting off the bus. I cna't remember what I did on the bus... I think I read stories online. Then I went home and got some dinner going since I had an appointment with the elders and they had said something about going out to eat. It's cheaper for me if I cook so I decided I would just make us some white stew. E' Norawong showed up with E' Nepia (exchanges today) and I fed them some white stew. They exclaimed over my cooking (yay!) and they left me with a message and a chocolate bar. :) I thanked them and off they went. Oh boy! I remember what I did on the bus, dur! I talked to Limor! She called and I talked to her. :) It was good to catch up - and 30 seconds after I got off the bus she said she had to run to Taiko. No wonder I don't remember the bus ride. I was focusing on her. So ya, that was my evening. I'm keeping down that stew so far, but I can feel it trying to inch up my throat so I think I will try to get in bed early so I can lie down/still. Hope you're all doing well. XOXO, A

omiyage I received today - I'm so excited to eat it! It says: Su mo o ku chi i zu. (Smoked cheese) YEEHAW! - I took this picture on my desk - that half face at the bottom is Toki-s, the corner is Fujieda/Kanako-s, and half at the side is Kanamori-s.
