Choir Day!

T5B: 1) I got to talk to Jerod and my parents. 2) Our choir number went very well! 3) I got visit taught today. 4) Our next number is so beautiful! 5) I had my temple recommend interview (first half) today. :)

basal temp: 36.64 (I think this one has happened 4 or 5 times now)

Morning:
- slept a little better than yesterday (still exhausted :/)
- got up early
- showered, got ready
- had an awesome breakfast
- went to church early to practice with the choir beforehand
- Sacrament Meeting was great (our number was beautiful!)

Notes: I recorded the voice - I'll see if I can upload it... sorry I'm so loud - I was trying to help out the sections that needed it! (And I'm really close to the mic.)

Afternoon:
- choir practice for this GORGEOUS arrangement of Silent Night (we're singing it on my mom's bday!)
- had my temple recommend interview :)
- was visit taught (Muraki-s and Fumie-s - it was really fun!)
- talked to my mom and dad (Nadia & JT popped in too)
- messaged Jerod a little

Notes: --

Evening:
- got home, (late) was starving and ate
- got to message Jerod some more
- read a little bit
- watched an episode of Gintama
- worked on Christmas presents (thanks Maman!)

Notes: Man the Conference talks have been so amazing! I've been reading typically one a day and it's been a very edifying experience. I just read Elder D. Todd Christofferson's talk today about women. Quite a few things stuck out to me. I was also called to repentance. I am definitely guilty of thinking being a mother is "less than." Ironically, I don't feel that way about my friends and family who have done that. I feel that way for ME though. :/ I'm going to pray to have a better understanding of motherhood and the importance of that role. I know on paper how important it is, but in my heart I feel like I have more impact as a teacher. Of course I would be a teacher to my own children but it doesn't seem like I'll make AS big a difference. Somewhere along the line I got my wires crossed and have to find the spirit of motherhood (not that I'm going to be one anytime soon - BUT now is the best time, I feel, to get a testimony of the role of women [at least for me]). Hope you all have a wonderful Sabbath! XOXO, A
