basal temp: 36.48
Morning:
- woke up pretty tired and frustrated that I was tired
- my breakfast was AWESOME (didn't burn it today!)
- messaged Jerod a little bit this morning
1st-2nd - made a worksheet
3rd - taught 2.5 (well we played Jeopardy), went well
4th - I went to the cooking college and had lunch (pictures below)
Notes: Thank goodness my mom taught me how to use the silverware in a full course meal. So when I saw that I had two forks, three spoons, and two knives, I knew which ones to use. :) Funny when she taught it to us (as kids) she said something like, "Just in case you're ever in a fancy setting, I want you to know the silverware ettiquette." :D I saw some of the teachers and parents using the wrong spoon for the soup and wondered what that meant. (That is, if we would be judged by the students. Who knows? I didn't say anything because at the beginning of the meal I "double checked" but the problem is I did it in English. :/ Still, I was trying to let people know. Nicely.)
Afternoon:
- after the full course lunch we had a tour (I looked at stuff, lol)
- after the tour we cooked
- they showed us what to do and explained (good thing I'm a visual learner anyway)
- oh man, my partner was VIOLENT about mixing, stirring, whisking, lol
- on the way back I showed one of the VPs pictures from my wedding (pirates came up... ok >I< brought up pirates) I hope that was appropriate... he seemed to enjoy the pictures...
- we got back to the school at 15:50 :) (only 55 minutes left at the school - well, my bus comes at 16:45 so I leave a little earlier to catch that - other than the day that I didn't catch it)
- got stopped by some teachers and was a minute late to get to the bus stop, luckily the bus was late too!
Notes: I made a comment to the principal about how violent my partner was being (because it was genuinely funny) and he told her in Japanese, "Be gentle! Show your heart to the dish." LOL Then she calmed down. But after he walked off, she was back on attack mode. LOL I watched the guy who was helping us -- he looked worried. Ahahaha! When we made the cream, she (and this was another way I could tell she doesn't cook much) LIFTED THE HANDMIXER. For those of you who don't cook or use handmixers often, when you are mixing something and lift the whisks, everything flies off the blades. Ya... cream EVERYWHERE. It was funny and a bit annoying. I don't mind getting cream all over me - but I don't want to waste the cream we need for the cake! That's valuable stuff! Still, it was funny. Too much ego in the kitchen probably. (I definitely felt very comfortable and should have tried to be more humble about the whole thing.)
Evening:
- when I got home I had a "missed delivery" notice
- rescheduled the delivery
- ate dinner
- cleaned and organized for a little bit, put away the rest of my laundry
- read a little bit, played some games
- knock on the door! delivery man but here to get the package number...
- knock on the door! SUCCESS! other delivery man with the goods!
- opened my package (put up my present)
- watched some Gintama
- gonna get ready for bed
Notes: I've included a picture of my present below. :) Hope you all had a wonderful Monday and happy Tuesday to you! Hope yours is as fun as mine was. :) XOXO, A
