Psychedelic Day

Insect count: 0 (mmm) Also, I have now tripled views from my last blog with 58% the amount of posts. My thanks to all of you. :) Feels awesome.

I call it that because today was unreal. It took me FOREVER to fall asleep last night and then I slept less than four hours. I was sure my body would want to go back to sleep, but noooo. In any case, I still felt really awful today which was frustrating for me. I was hoping that one sick day was enough. And then it got worse, and worse. As it was getting worse, I cleaned my apartment. I didn't get a chance to straighten it up thought, as my illness got to the point that I couldn't stand up because I was so nauseous and lightheaded and couldn't manage to get on my feet. That's when I really started wigging out. I felt like there were a bunch of chemicals in my system and just felt awful. I was given the advice from my bff to seek fresh fruit and yogurt. So when I was able to stand, I went out to get some food. A woman stopped me in Sakanacho and talked my ear off for 20 minutes (in halting English to match my halting Japanese) about coffee. She then asked for my address and said she wanted to write me letters. Weird experience but I gave her my name and address (and got her name: Oka Hiroko). Then I went to a grocery store that is much closer to my place since I didn't want to go far. I grabbed fresh pineapple, drinkable yogurt, peanuts, and a couple other odds and ends. (The pineapple was expensive but worth it!) On the way back to my apartment I ran into Chihi. She invited me to a fair in which her daughter was running a booth. I inwardly had a mini freak out as I felt so gross but I smiled and accepted. I'm glad I did because now I have a pet/friend! I did a trying to catch a fish thing (with paper that dissolved) and I didn't get one. :/ BUT the consolation prize was a fish! I've been wanting to get one since I got here! :D Then Chihi walked me down to the Daiso and I bought food for it and a little tank (I looked for something bigger but they didn't have anything). I named him Church! (Although he's my third fish to have that name but the first of this variety!) I'm hapy to have him here and though Chihi made it sound like they don't live long, I hope he lives forever! :D Now I have someone to whom I can come home. :) I set him up in the window during the day and a neighbor girl kept nonchalantly walking by to see him, lol. She could have stood there and stared and it would have been fine. You should have seen her trying to be sneaky about it. As if walking back and forth in front of someone's window 5-6 times in a row weren't suspicious. In any case, eventually my stomach settled down. I read a couple short stories and straightened up a little bit. Oh I also played guitar this morning. I had a freak out because of the lack of sleep and just feeling crappy. So my day was mostly spent lying down, feeling gross. :/ Dang it! Good thing I have Monday off! (Umi no hi! Marine Day) I hope I feel better for tomorrow. I'm feeling better now than I did during midday but still feeling icky. :/ Dang it! Gotta practice for Sansa and try and get some sleep.

Sorry it's all strung together - the tired + sick. Ick. Still, I love you all! XOXO, A

meet Church! (yes after Leonard L Church)
my pineapple plus drinkable yogurt
the peanuts - that katakana says (in the red oval) "Supaisu (spice)" it was seaweed something - interesting for sure ~ not good, but not bad either
