Crappy day (haha)

T5B: 1) Got to message Jerod. 2) Ran some errands. 3) Cleaned a little. 4) Made some chestnut spaghetti that was really good. 5) I've just about finished the Book of Mormon for this year and just in time for Conference (since we will get it here a week from tomorrow I will definitely be done in time).

basal temp: I forgot to take it right away and got up first - still was only 36.15 (I THINK this means I'm getting back to normal since I usually run cold. Just weird to see my graph dropping further and further. - Oh and yesterday was 36.25)

Morning:
- woke up after not a lot of sleep, body wouldn't shut back down
- took my kampo, ate some breakfast
- cleaned a little as I cooked breakfast
- threw up (nooooooooo!)
- laid down for a while, had some soup
- did laundry

Notes: Well, the no puking lasted for two days. :/ So at least there's that! -- Also just like Lynds said Utah seems to have skipped fall, I'm feeling like that happened here. It went from sweltering to heavy jacket weather! I consider fall "light jacket" weather and I've been FREEZING! Of course that could be all my weight loss. I used to (100 lbs ago) sleep with the window cracked and only my sheets on during the winter. Now I've lost all my insulation! LOL It makes me slightly worried as it's going to get MUCH colder here. :/ In reality, the typical low is "only" -4° (which is 24.8°F) and lowest I've heard about -10° (14°F). I came home from a sweltering Argentine summer to 28°F (-2.2°C) in FEBRUARY in Utah so I know I have endured colder. I'm thinking it's just an insulation problem. I need to cover up that fan hole to the outside somehow and there's not much I can do about my wood floor but go buy more carpet. I brought two pairs of thick socks to use at night during the cold. So far I've made it with two blankets and have been using my duvet for extra padding since this mattress is compressing and I'm getting back pain again. I'm going to need to save up for another mattress. Or borrow a futon from a member. I'm considering asking them if I can rent one. We'll see what happens. I feel too gross to think about it clearly now.

Afternoon:
- hung up my laundry
- went out to run some errands, success!
- got home, ate some lunch
- threw up
- intestinal issues again :/ (seriously!?)
- took a short nap (yay!)

Notes: So I've spent more than enough time in the bathroom today. My tummy is SO unhappy right now. And other pain is high today (maybe because I threw up the kampo?). Today's been better than last Saturday but hard and icky. :/ I didn't get the cleaning done that I wanted to get done.

Evening:
- Jerod messaged me - for a long time too
- chestnut spaghetti sounded good to me so that's what I made for dinner (it was yummy)
- migraine coming on, my intestines are majorly unhappy, dinner is threatening to make a reappearance
- watched a couple episodes of Gintama

Notes: At least I didn't have to work today! So there's that! I'm not sure what's up with my body today. :/ I also bruised my heel a couple days ago and it's been killing. I've been trying hard not to limp but it's rough going. I'm on my feet most of the day and everything I've read online says, "REST IT!" Doing my best. That's what I've been trying to do this weekend. Plus all my other tummy trouble. In any case, I hope you are all doing much better than me (I hope you are feeling ok Maman - love you!). Love you all! XOXO, A

I told you about it before - here is photographic proof! Horse fat body soap.
I need an extra outlet plug thing (I can't think of what it's called - but one plug that has three spaces in which to plug in - not a surge protector or power strip... anyway) for my apartment and so I went to Daiso. I found a small section of Halloween stuff and bought myself a gift. It was only a dollar and I'm worth it! I took the banner apart so I could hang the pieces everywhere (haven't done it yet but will get a pic when I do).
Was curious how pale or gross I looked since I feel so icky (taken while I was making dinner)

Oh the crazy

(Welcome Anjo!!!)

T5B: 1) I got to see my Deaf kids again! It's been a couple weeks and I really missed them! 2) A (who has been absent a lot) was here today and she said she really liked my lesson. 3) My jhs lesson was really fun and the students had fun too (which made me ridiculously happy). 4) One of the teachers at the school saved the day! (Saved my day and my lesson!) 5) I finished that one worksheet and made another. Now I can relax and enjoy my weekend!

basal temp: 36.22

Morning:
- had REALLY strange dreams
- woke up before my alarm went off (as usual)
- got ready
- bus ride was ok (sat by two smokers and the smell made me ill)
1st - taught my jhs students (3a2)
2nd - prep, worksheet making
3rd - taught my elem students (5,6年 ~year)
4th - prep period I used to relax (work finished)

Notes: I played a game with my junior high school students that was really fun. They are learning, "Can I/Can you" so for the game, I made two dice. One was verbs and the other nouns. On verbs: close, open, pick up, put down, touch, hug. On nouns: a desk, your pencil, a window, a door, a book, and a chair. We got some really great combinations. One girl was asked, "Can you open a chair?" Since they are not folding chairs, she couldn't. She made a big show of trying though. :) They asked us (the teachers) as well - it was REALLY fun. They're so bright and funny! Even the boy who dislikes English had fun. And on his worksheet, he wrote (as his production) "Miss Ito (the JTE), can I teach English?" Aww yay! :D -- In my elem class, the girl who has been absent a bunch recently was back. She gave me a big hug as did the other girl, I. They tried to get my little boy to hug me and he fought like crazy - I gave him a very brisk handshake. :) Anyway, A, the girl who has been gone a bunch said she enjoyed today's lesson. :) I'm so glad! I felt like today had fallen a little flat so I'm glad she enjoyed it. :) They all walked me out as usual. <3

Afternoon:
lunch - ate lunch
5th - taught another group of jhs students (3a1 - there are 6 groups in all though two usually get combined)
- talked to Sugita-sensei
- bus ride home was nice
- had a missed delivery notice!
- called and was able to get it redelivered myself! :D

Notes: 5th period was SO fun and funny! The students were learning how to order food (I will call them G1 ~girl 1~ and G2). So we practiced some dialogue, I had them take out sentences (so they could memorize some of it). After that, I had them make their own menus. I made mine as well. My menu: "Favorite Breakfast" - pickles, popcorn, cheese, "Yellow Lunch" - mustard, lemon, eggs, "Liquid Dinner" - water, soup, black pepper water. The girls were freaking out. "Eeeee!! Japanese Japanese" - but their faces were GREAT! So I went first (they were my customers - as well as Kanako/Ito-sensei). G1 asked for the lunch special so I told them lemon. G1 ordered eggs, G2 eggs, and K-s ordered mustard. I asked the girls how they wanted their eggs (scrambled). Then I asked for any additional orders. K-s asked for lemon, G1 for lemon, and G2 declined. I asked them what sauce they wanted on their lemon. After a short pause... soy sauce! LOL We had a laugh about it. Then G2 offered us her menu. K-s and I both ordered a salad. She asked us about dressing. I said lemon, then as K-s was thinking, I said, "Soy sauce?" She quickly agreed and we all laughed again. Then G1 got up and showed us her menu. Milk was on the menu and K-s and G2 ordered milk. I ordered ...(thinking) scrambled eggs. G1 asked G2 how she wanted her milk (cold or hot - tsumetai or atatakai). G2 said "hot" but I heard "cold." So it sounded like: G2: cold. G1: Ok, hot. Me: Whaaaa!? (a la minion) LOL I misheard. Then Kanako-sensei said she wanted something added to her milk. As she floundered I briefly considered saying "soy sauce (lol)," but then suggested, "Chocolate!" She thought that was a great idea. "I would like chocolate in my milk." G1: No sorry. At the end of the ordering, G1 asked, "Anything else?" Kanako-s, "Yes! Chocolate milk!" G1, "No, no!" Me, "Can >I< have chocolate milk?" She laughed and said no. It was a REALLY fun lesson. We were laughing the whole time. So much fun! -- So Sugita-s asked about my health and I said my pain was going down a little and the kampo medicine makes me really nauseous. "I'm feeling a little better though." "That's too bad." LOL I had to school my face quickly as I wanted to burst out laughing. She didn't mean it the way it sounded. But funny.

Evening:
- my package (letter) is delivered!
- watched an episode of Gintama
- ate dinner (took my kampo ~ still makes me SO nauseous :/)
- got to message Jerod for a little bit
- talked to Limor on the phone

Notes: So the package: Jerod sent me two cards, a handwritten letter, and a necklace (with little chili peppers!). :,) One of the cards made me cry. I got permission to share what it says (printed - I won't read what he wrote -- the other card was funny), "I don't ever want to take you for granted ... I don't ever want to forget what it was like before you or how it would be without you. I don't want to ever forget our first kiss or our last touch, or let a day go by without telling you how much you mean to me, how deeply I love you, and how much I need you. I don't ever want you to doubt the way I feel or how much happier I am because of you. I love you." Made me cry again. The things that he wrote were very sweet and I really appreciate the letter as well. It was a great day for me. I hope it was for you too. XOXO, A

P.S. Forgot to credit Jerod for sending me those two funny rap videos.

I did not sleep so well last night - tons of weird dreams
Showing off my necklace - I'm frustrated because I got some good pictures of myself this morning and when I deleted OTHER photos on my phone, THOSE ones disappeared. I have no idea why but it makes me very sad. Now I can't get them back. :( At least they were only of me walking to school and not some other important celebration (although my favorite video got deleted before I could put it on my computer. *sigh* At least it's on fb!).

Fregs!!

T5B: 1) My students are the best! 2) One more day to this week and I can rest! I think I will actually enjoy this weekend as well (at least not be in bed the whole time puking). 3) I was able to run my "after work" errands. 4) The weather was really nice today. 5) I found a new favorite episode of Gintama (#42).

basal temp: 35.09 (what the heck is going on!?)

Morning:
- got up (very little sleep again -- Mom you know what you mentioned in your comment? Remember what I said about "intestinal troubles?")
- got ready
- bus ride was nice (was able to catch up on my emails)
1st - prep
2nd - taught a class, went well (1.1)
3rd - taught a class, went very well  (1.5)
4th - more prep, started another worksheet and am getting another class

Notes: Ok my title: I have seen the funniest ways to spell "frog" from my students. I have seen: lrog, flag, flog, fleg, freg (the one that made me laugh the hardest), and also fag (oops). Also today I got "farst" on a worksheet. I went to correct it (fast) but accidently colored out the s. LOL Nice. Also in 3rd period, I was teaching with Hashimoto-sensei. So he had me wait til my turn. I sat in a desk amongst the students (they loved that). When it came time to practice, the other students started listening in on what I was saying. I knew the Japanese for three of the eight or so words. The students around me clapped each time and cheered. My heart SOARED. Just them loving me and being happy for me and knowing that I GET it - it's hard and I'm willing to learn. It was a really great moment. :)

Afternoon:
- lunch (yay no moldy yogurt lunch for me!)
5th - taught a class, went well (2.1)
6th - taught a class, went well (2.2)
- cleaning time
- more prep and worksheet planning
- no SLP yet but 30 minutes before I left Hashimoto-s at least told me the topic!
- brainstormed quickly (need to make two worksheets tomorrow)
- bus ride home

Notes: SO, 6th period. They are characters! SO funny, I laughed and one student imitated my laugh which made me laugh again and then more students imitated me, and I lost it. LOL I'm so glad I have a very healthy sense of humor!

Evening:
- rode my bike to the office, had a good time chatting with them for a few mins
- went to the grocery store
- went home, cooked dinner
- printed the finished worksheets
- was able to message Jerod (he stayed up quite late/early to message me - very sweet of him IMO)
- watched an episode of Gintama
- writing this.. :D

Notes: "One of my arms is worth two of yours!" -"Three of my arms are worth six of yours!" LOL New favorite Gintama episode. - At the office, Sato-san (the branch manager) told me Limor confessed to causing my accident at the dock. LOL He's such a funny guy!

Two bonuses: Basketball Rap (clean) - I posted this to Josh's fb page!
(Same guy) Christmas!

Welp, I'm exhausted!! I hope you all have a wonderful time and I'm off to bed shortly. XOXO, A

post shower this morning -- just felt like taking a pic

Will the puking ever stop!?

Happy birthday to Limor!

Thank you all! With 99% of the posts of the last blog (technically 98.9), you have all sextupled (blogger is telling me that is wrong but isn't giving me the right word - times six) the views from my last blog. Thanks so much! :D

T5B: 1) I got two more worksheets done today (for Friday). 2) My worksheets I made yesterday were approved and praised. (YAY!) 3) I remembered my computer cord again. 4) My appetite is returning. 5) I got to message Jerod.

basal temp: 36.22

from yesterday:
1) I forgot to mention, in one class (5th period) I interviewed Kanamori-s to show the students how to do their worksheet. For the sake of speed, I wrote her name in Kanji. The students all CLAPPED for me. LOL And I had messed up the first, so I erased and rewrote it (with the correct stroke order - since I've been studying) and they clapped AGAIN! 8D
2) I ended up throwing up after writing my blog. HOWEVER, it was only water so doesn't count, right?

AM:
- was awake a lot during the night (stomach troubles)
- got ready
- realized when I went to grab my lunch, forgot to make rice yesterday
- improvised for lunch
- during my bus ride, small panic attack
1st, 2nd period - made two worksheets
3rd - taught my toughest class, it went really well (more in notes - two funny stories)
4th - more prep (materials for lessons)

Notes: My small panic attack? I looked up and didn't see anyone. I FREAKED and thought I was on the wrong bus or missed my stop (which is ridiculous since the bus stops in front of the school) -- ya, my students had all taken seats behind me. Sheesh! Thanks a lot! (Small funny side note: one of the VPs today was wearing a plaid shirt with a paisley tie. My eyes!! LOL) -- Ok so in third period, we played Thimbleful. This time >I< played too. The very last round, I said the color and SPLASH! Luckily I was wearing a jacket as my shirt is already light and white to boot! He poured it RIGHT DOWN MY SHIRT! LOL I believe it was in an effort to avoid my face. In any case, when I first walked in with water they were upset, "No! NO!" (We played this game two weeks ago) But then I think the tides turned when they saw I was playing too. :) In fact, when I got splashed I got up to refill and saw the bottle was gone. (We were just going to play until it was empty). Suddenly a student walks up with the bottle and it's FULL. LOL I think they changed their mind about the game! My other funny story is that I was writing adjectives (Keiyoushi) on the board and writing the English and the Japanese. Well, I can't read my own handwriting and wrote one wrong. This class, of course, called me on it - which was unplanned but PERFECT! Like see? I mess up too! They all laughed and laughed at me - including the JTE. Solidarity of the Japanese laughing at the American. Hey! I'm trying! The JTE corrected it for me - get this, I was ONE stroke off. Japanese is great! :D It really was funny. When I got back to the staff room (you know how I am about stories), I told another teacher and he said, "I can help you with Japanese!" LOL One more funny story in that block of time - when I got back to the staff room, I went to wash all the chalk off my hands. I heard another teacher say "Okorimasu" (which means angry) so I was curious if I had heard correctly. I turned to another teacher who was waiting for the sink and said, "Okorimasu?" She then started falling over herself, "Iie! Iie! Iie! (which sounds like yey yey yey when you say it quickly) Daijobu!" I was confused and it hit me as I was walking away, she thought I was asking if she was angry that she had to wait to use the sink. LOL "You mad bro?" What a funny thought.

Afternoon (should have included lunch here yesterday):
- ate my improvised lunch (yum - just grabbed something from the freezer and an apple)
5th - taught a class, it went well
6th - taught another class, it also went well
7th - more prep, received another lesson, STILL no SLP for next week :/
- cleaning time
- bus ride home was good

Notes: I asked this week! I said to Sato-sensei (one of the VPs), "Shitsumon ga arimasu." "Hai." "Mae ni, suiyoubi de soujiki shimashita, ima?" "AH! Wasureta!" (I have a question, Yes?, Before we vacuumed on Wednesdays, now?, AH! I forgot!) So BANG! Another successful communication! All in Japanese. Mostly correct grammar too I think.

Evening:
- messaged Jerod
- watched an episode of Gintama (my students think it's so funny I watch it)
- ate dinner
- writing this, need to cook rice for my lunch tomorrow
- was supposed to go shopping for one thing and the office but I skipped it
- I think I'm getting sick, I'm all achy and icky *sigh*

Hope you are all doing well. All my best as usual! XOXO, A

My sleep - not as much, but I guess it was better? -- I did feel less tired today but not sure if that's a psychosomatic effect, as it were.
My bruise - it's turning very dark now!
My breakfast! (So you can be jealous!)

Clawing up the hill of wellness (trying)

T5B: 1) No puking today! 2) I was able to pay my health insurance a day late with no penalty. They also let me pay for this month as well so the next time I have money due is the beginning and end of December. (In the short term I'm out more money, in the long term I don't have to worry about being late again for a while!) 3) The VPs are very forgiving of my ignorance. 4) I wasn't too hungry at school though my lunch was largely inedible (my own fault, doh!). 5) IT'S OCTOBER (my favorite month)!

basal temp: 36.35

Some more cleaning house:
1) Somehow I forgot to mention yesterday (I think) that my students totally vindicated me and my belief in them! I was told the worksheet was WAY too hard for them - but they excelled with flying colors! (I finished correcting those worksheets today and found 3 others that said "I love Ann!" :D)
2) I think I forgot to say this before. I have wondered about the previous NS. I wonder if the schools find me better or worse. I know for sure that Phillip didn't do cleaning time with everyone. And I learned a month or so ago that CS likes me much better! That made me happy. Well, I'm just glad they're not like, "Man! We had the dream with our last guy!" I was told he never signed but would just talk at the students. That surprised me because it seems like I heard he is a signer. He either isn't or has no understanding of Deaf culture. :/ Still, I AM that shallow to say, "YAY! I won the popularity contest!" ;)
3) Yesterday 6th period I had one of those, "0.o I'm in JAPAN. I MOVED to Japan! By myself!!" moments. I was freaking out. It seems like yesterday I was sure I wasn't going to make it alone and couldn't get everything packed! Here I am with more than half my time gone! Crazy.
4) So you know how lemon juice in paper cuts is a killer? So too is onion juices. Youch! Cooking yesterday was a little painful for me. Like burnination in my finger that couldn't be exorcised! But I survived.
5) So I also found out Sunday, I've been calling my HT the wrong name since.. forever. AARGGHHH! I feel so badly about it! Sorry Brother ShIwa. (Have been calling him ShUwa.) I feel like a jerk!

Onto today, AM:
- got ready
- ate breakfast (again not hungry for it)
- remembered to bring my computer cord
- got to the bus stop, realized I'm not properly dressed 0.o
- freaked out all morning then FINALLY convinced myself there was nothing I could do
1st & 2nd period - prep, made a worksheet
3rd - taught a class that went REALLY poorly (about as poorly as the class for which I received a verbal tongue lashing)
4th - tried to eat my inedible lunch
lunch - Hashimoto-s kindly took me to run my errand

Notes: So summer is officially over (though it's REALLY hot today). I didn't realize this and was still in my "summer" clothing. I quickly rolled down my sleeves but there wasn't anything I could do about my knee-length skirt. I felt like such a jerk! Everyone else has to cover up, but not me! I just didn't know! -- When I got to the school, I told Hashimoto-s about my fiasco and the bank yesterday. Well, I thought banks played hard to get in America! Here they close at 1500! That's INSANE, IMO. So I asked to walk over at lunch. He cleared that with the VP for me (and I felt awful for asking for a favor when I wasn't even dressed correctly!). In any case, he was worried I wouldn't get back on time, so he offered me a ride and would not take no for an answer. I made him an origami dinosaur as thanks. :) -Ran that errand at lunch time with very little help from him. :D (At the counter) - Also I was able to pay for this month so I'm ahead! Whew! Oh also I mentioned my clothing and Hashimoto-s told me not to worry. He said, "You're not breaking our dress code." Uh... thanks! LOL Tomorrow I'll wear something more like everyone else. Yeesh. At least I have the excuse - and it really was - ignorance. -- Ok, lunch. So, I had this plain yogurt in my fridge. I bought it because "plain" to me, in my brain, was lightly sugared. Nope. What I wanted, I guess, was vanilla. In any case, I have been using it to spread my curry further. WELL, the yogurt's gone off and I didn't know that. Oh man.. I ate as much of my lunch as I could and then thought, "I've ALREADY been vomiting! What am I trying to do to myself!?" The problem is, you can't be seen throwing out food. So I hid it - almost sorta got caught... ya. :/ Sorry Japan, I am failing today! -- Oh but no penalty for paying my health insurance late, mmm! (Ironically I was too sick to pay for my health insurance on time.)

Afternoon:
5th - taught a lesson that went well
6th - prep
7th - prep (made two more worksheets - which now puts me 2 weeks ahead with the 2nd graders! YAY!)
- cleaning time
- bus ride home

Notes: --

Evening:
- got home
- had a mini meltdown
- warmed up some dinner
- got an email about the end of summer from Interac (good timing guys - they sent it out at 1700!)
- got a frantic email "Where are you!?" (French class ... uh what!?)
- got to message Jerod
- went to the bank
- went grocery shopping
- getting ready for bed

Notes: Meltdown? I want to attend my aunt's funeral and I can't. Also she didn't come to my wedding so I can't even remember the last time I saw her. I dug through my email and the last emails we sent one another were regarding my wedding. She did so much for me when I was struggling and we used to email quite a bit then we both got busy. Wish I could have seen her at the wedding. Aunt Joyce, I look forward to spending time with you after this life. Thank you for everything you did for me! Maman, I hope your heart is doing ok and that Adri is ok. :/ Love you all and wish I could be there to mourn with you. Know my heart is there.

As far as the email from Zenrinkan (the language school), the way Bruce stated it to me it sounded like I would be the pinch hitter. I would take the class when he wasn't teaching it. So ya, no one showed up to teach tonight. Once again, thanks for informing me! Sheesh. I didn't go because I wasn't prepared with materials nor was I prepared emotionally. I need time to psych myself up to be around people. Ya, sorry, not happening. And the fault for all that is on Bruce's shoulders (IMO). No one told me I was to teach this evening. I feel really badly but I'm trying really hard not to let it ruin my night. I have a pretty bad migraine and I think a lot of it is coming from stress. Hope you're all doing well. XOXO, A

Better! I was in bed early last night (on accident but it was a happy accident!)
The next 5 days graph of my sleep
Hey Nod! Guess where I am!! :D
