Day 2 (out of 3 left)

Today at 1800, I made 19/20ths of a year. It's a milestone. ;) (And 25 days til I see my family!!)

T5B: 1) I got to see Jerod when I got home! 2) I was able to reduce the amount of papers in my bag (consolidate information). 3) The English teachers are having a goodbye party for me tomorrow. 4) I don't have to worry about packing a lunch tomorrow! :D 5) I was able to work on a goodbye mini speech for tomorrow (I hope I get to give it - if the bus is not too late). 6) My class was awesome today! They were SO fun!

Morning:
- got ready for school
- Jerod and I read scriptures together :D
- Jerod was bouncing around full of energy (that made me happy)
1st-4th - organized papers and planned for this evening (French classes - made a go fish game)

Notes: Sheesh, Oikawa-sensei gave me a small heart attack. He comes to my desk and says, "Ann-sensei, I'm sorry to tell you.." I thought I was in trouble for something, "We will be having a lunch for you tomorrow so don't bring your lunch box from home." DAH! LOL An unfortunate phrasing. I guess he was sorry I wouldn't have to cook? More like, "Good news!" In any case, I'm very touched that they're having a lunch for me. Oikawa-sensei asked me if I would be back in April (WHAT THE HECK INTERAC!? They told me they'd inform the school and tomorrow is my last day!) I didn't lie to him (I felt AWFUL that he didn't know yet. Like I had been secretive. :c). In any case, he rounded up the English teachers and so when he came at me with that line... I thought I was toast! In any case, lunch tomorrow with the teachers! :) Whew.

Afternoon:
- 379 slides seemed like not enough, so I upped it to 383 ;) (really I just updated it)
5th - showed my presentation to 1.6 (usually SUPER rowdy and they were excited but they did great! They were pretty funny about it!)
6th - had a Japanese lesson
- school meeting where I found out (we found out) two of the English teachers (among others) are being moved to other schools, and one is retiring :/ DUDE! One of our VPs is becoming a principal at a different school (Sato-san).

Notes: Maybe it's good I'm not staying since we're losing a bunch of really good teachers. It's crazy to me that here they can just move you. No arguments. You are to go. :/ Sheesh.

Evening:
- jetted a snack with Jerod
- we rode our bikes over to Zenrinkan
- I taught three French classes and Jerod learned and participated! :D
- Jerod and I ate some dinner
- we watched the first episode of SNK together aaaannndd time for bed

Day 3 (out of 3 days left)

TB: (I'm going to list a bunch since I missed the last couple days) 1) Jerod is here and he got here safely! 2) We are able to read scriptures and pray together now. 3) We've had some excellent food and it's so nice to walk together. 4) We were able to attend graduation at MM. (They said families were welcome, and it was not a school day!) 5) Jerod and I were able to skype my family together. 6) Jerod joined the ward choir (he sounds so amazing)! 7) We got to go to karaoke together. We sang almost all the songs together and it was just really, really FUN! 8) We have big plans with Limor on Thursday (onsen and dinner) and Yasue (my oneechan) on Saturday (Tezikurimura)! :D 9) Jerod got here safely! 10) I only have three days left of teaching and then can spend my full time with Jerod. 11) Jerod hasn't gotten sick of me! (Thank goodness! - It's weird for both of us, I think, to go from so much solitude to someone always there. We've annoyed each other a little at times, but then we get over it and start being awesome again). 12) I sleep more deeply having him here. I have had REALLY vivid strange dreams, but I sleep more deeply and am not tossing and turning like I used to. 13) My lessons this week are really easy - they are all presentations. :) 14) Taking these longs walks through town with Jerod don't feel long with him there. Of course I got those blisters on the bottom of my left foot, but it doesn't feel like we walked for miles and miles because we just talk and talk. :) 15) I gave Jerod my comforter and took the two small blankets the first night. When he saw how cold I was, he traded me. :,) It was a very sweet thing to go and I really appreciate it. (It was warming up and now we have a cold snap!) 16) The choir is performing in two weeks. :) I'm glad I will get to lead them one more time and Jerod will get to sing! 17) Jerod walked me to the bus stop this morning. :D 18) I was able to make a form for the VP at CS this morning. I emailed it to her. :) 19) I was worried having someone else (especially JEROD - that is someone I really love) at the apartment when I needed to get ready for school might make me late (as I'd rather chat with him than get ready!), but it was fine. :) 20) Jerod gets to meet my tutor and friend Mina tonight. :D 21) I woke up with a cold sore this morning (guess I'm more stressed than I thought!), but with throughout the day I did some relaxation/breathing exercises and almost got rid of it completely! :D

Morning:
- woke up, got ready (got to make breakfast for Jerod :D)
- Jerod dropped me off at the bus stop and waited with me until my bus came -- OH CRAP! It just occurred to me... I didn't teach Jerod how to turn on the hot water for the shower. And one of the buttons is an emergency button. 0_0 Uh oh... sorry babe!
- Jerod is going to make dinner for me tonight! :D
1st-4th - worked on a few last assignments and helps for the teachers, made a powerpoint about Jerod :D

Afternoon:
5th - worked on a letter (trying to stay awake)
6th - did my presentation for 1.4, went ok
- cleaning time, everyone had a meeting and left me alone (man I wanted to nap)
- everyone came back right as I got off

Evening:
- Jerod cleaned my whole place and redecorated and bought flowers!
- we went to meet Mina
- we walked around Nanak
- we watched an episode of Hannibal

- got ready for church
- walked to church
- realized I'd forgotten my bike about a third of the way there. DOH! (period brain)
- church was good (RS was about families and I really enjoyed the lesson.. AND..)
- MY ONEECHAN IS BACK!!!!!!! Jerod and I have the best plans ever with her on Saturday! It's gonna be awesome!'
- we had choir practice (JEROD JOINED THE CHOIR!!)
- we skyped with my mom
- we walked home (I have GIANT blisters on the bottom of my foot)
- we watched Totoro
- we watched some Parks & Rec
- had sausage Mac & Cheese for dinner
- talked and hung out :D

Saturday March 1

(I'm going to do a rundown of the whole day as I'm trying to catch up)

- we woke up
- got ready
- went to graduation and Jerod met students and teachers and A LOT of stares
- walked to a place to have a live jazz lunch and the place was closed :/
- had lunch at a soba place
- walked to a kimono recycle shop and got kimonos and two small gifts
- went to a recycle shop and got a small clay kettle
- walked for a REALLY long time to get a bus
- took the bus home
- watched some Supernatural (I'm liking it so far!)
- went grocery shopping
- went to dinner at CoCo Curry House
- went to Karaoke for about two hours
- went home and CRASHED

some anecdotes: *As Jerod and I passed all the seniors waiting to enter the gym, they FREAKED OUT seeing him. It was a GREAT reaction.
*After graduation was over (the ceremony - it's SUPER formal), all the second and first grader's heads swiveled to stare at Jerod. He was chafing under all the eyes I believe. More than 400 eyes.
*At the kimono shop, the ladies were going crazy over us. I couldn't find a kimono I LOVED, but I found one that I thought was pretty cool. They marked it down for us! (It was a little stained.) They upsold Jerod to a more formal kimono (it's really nice) and knocked TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS off the price. It may be something they do for everyone... but we felt pretty special. Then they threw in a gift of an obi to use as a table runner and another little clasp thing to go with Jerod's kimono. They were SO sweet!
*When we got dinner, I asked for a 10 (spicy level) and Jerod got a three. He said his was spicy and I said maybe they mixed ours up since I couldn't taste mine. I had him taste mine even though he resisted at first. Ya... mine was WAY spicier (to normal tongues) and he was fairly upset with me. In my defense, I really DID think they mixed them up! Sorry babe!
*Just have to say, KARAOKE WAS SO FUN!!

Friday February 28

Teaching went great although I was crazy distracted and excited to see Jerod. Ambo-sensei (one of the VPs) told me that I looked crazy happy and that it was becoming to me. (I taught jhs, and two hs classes. jhs: writing letters. hs (k,s): traveling part II. hs (k, m, a): auxiliary verbs II) My whole day just was building up to seeing Jerod.

So, Jerod got in just fine. Then he ended up on the wrong train. Then he had to get another ticket and ended up in Ueno. Luckily he got internet connection and was able to talk to me. The lady had told him that his ARRIVAL time was his departure time. He would have been stuck in Tokyo all night. Sheesh. (The last train to Morioka left at 2016.) Then that arrival time came and went and no Jerod. I was PANICKED. I went and checked a timetable and either Jerod had missed his earlier train or the woman hadn't given him good information. I'm glad we got in contact and I'm SUPER glad Jerod finally showed up. (Though it was after the crowd.) What a day! But it was so great to see him walk around that corner!
